The annual parish meeting is open to all residents and will be held on Thursday 15 May at 7:30pm. This is your opportunity to hear reports from the council, local police, county and district councillors, and to raise any issues affecting the village.

The annual accounts for 2025/26 have been approved by the external auditor and are now available for public inspection at the parish office and on the website. Total expenditure was £128,000, with reserves of £42,000 carried forward.

The parish council has partnered with the Woodland Trust to plant 150 native trees this autumn across three sites. Volunteers are welcome to help with planting days in November. Species include oak, hazel, rowan, and wild cherry to support local biodiversity.

Work is progressing on new LED street lighting across the parish, replacing outdated sodium lamps. The programme is expected to reduce energy costs by 60% and improve visibility at key junctions. Completion is scheduled for September.
