The parish council has partnered with the Woodland Trust to plant 150 native trees this autumn across three sites. Volunteers are welcome to help with planting days in November. Species include oak, hazel, rowan, and wild cherry to support local biodiversity.

The parish precept has been set at the same level as last year, with no increase for Band D properties. The council has achieved this through careful budget management while maintaining all existing services and committing to new wildflower planting along the main road.

A new public access defibrillator has been installed outside the village shop thanks to fundraising by the parish council and a generous donation from the local WI. Free training sessions will be held on the first Saturday of each month at the village hall.
