The community speedwatch team recorded 47 vehicles exceeding the 30mph limit during March sessions on High Street. Letters have been sent to registered keepers. The parish council is pressing the county council for a vehicle-activated speed sign.

Funding is being secured to upgrade the memorial garden and main recreation ground, including new benches, replacement dog waste bins, and restored hedgerow along the boundary. The Heartwood Community Forest scheme will also be contributing 200 native trees for the parish boundary.

An extraordinary meeting has been called for Monday 21 April at 6:30pm to discuss the renewal of the allotment lease with the landowner. All current allotment holders are encouraged to attend as the proposed terms include changes to plot sizes and water access.

An expression of interest has been submitted for a grant of up to £35,000 to support major improvements at the recreation ground, including new climbing equipment and accessible play surfaces. A decision is expected by the end of June.
