Description

Hinkley Point B Nuclear Power Station ceased generation in August 2022 after 46 years of operation. Defuelling activities have been completed, and the site has entered the next phase of decommissioning. Site ownership is anticipated to transfer from EDF Nuclear Generation Limited (EDF NGL) to Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS). To support long-term decommissioning activities and eventual transition to Care and Maintenance (C&M), a replacement electrical distribution system will be required to provide a safe, reliable and maintainable electrical supply across the site. A concept design has been developed and approved, ready to move onto next phase of the project.

Suitability
