The Science and Industry Museum’s new Wonderlab gallery will be a vibrant, awe-inspiring spectacle at the heart of the world’s first industrial city. Dynamic, social and multi-sensory, it will celebrate the wonder of science and invite everyone to unleash their inner inventor. As a core permanent gallery offer, the new space will be an integral part of the Science and Industry Museum’s vision and Masterplan. The gallery floor and purpose-built spaces for live programme will create welcoming, playful and inspiring environment, creating the perfect backdrop for visitors to imagine, investigate and reflect. This tender invites suppliers to bid for Wonderlab interactives. These interactive exhibits will provide moments of joy, fun, surprise and wonder throughout the visitor journey. They should be in keeping with wider, gallery designs which will be overseen by the Lead Designer / Architect. Wonderlab interactive exhibits will be intuitive, easy to manipulate and importantly will not rely on written instructions to function. Exhibits will foster interaction in many different ways but will be based on the inquiry approach to science education, which allows for experimentation, questioning, reflection, open ended play and testing.

The proposed scheme involves the installation of a new controlled puffin crossing outside Ysgol Gynradd Bethel. The works include the associated civil engineering works, comprising kerbing, tactile paving, road markings, traffic signs, and bollards, together with the installation of ducting and chamber boxes in preparation for the installation of the electrical infrastructure.

North Wales Police are inviting suppliers to provide a response to requirements for the supply of Winter Gloves. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) process is for the supply over the next 4 years, with initial contract expiry to be in 2028 with a two-year extension included to take final contract expiry to be in 2030. Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to provide exhibition traffic management services to support the safe, efficient and coordinated movement of vehicles associated with exhibitions, conferences and other events at the venue. The contract will encompass pre-event planning, development of event-specific traffic management plans, implementation of traffic management measures, management of vehicle holding areas and traffic zones, traffic regulation order administration where required, and the provision of trained traffic management operatives to manage vehicle movements during event build-up and breakdown periods. The successful contractor will work closely with the HCC Traffic & Logistics Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver traffic operations across designated areas of the venue, including the Dragon Road Holding Area and vehicle access routes serving the exhibition halls. Services will include supervision of traffic management personnel, stakeholder liaison, daily briefings, operation of the venue traffic booking system, implementation of temporary traffic management arrangements where required, and post-event reporting. The contractor will be required to provide competent and appropriately qualified supervisory and stewarding personnel capable of managing complex exhibition traffic environments, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety requirements, traffic management standards and event operational procedures while delivering a professional and customer-focused service to exhibitors, contractors and visitors.

Scottish Water is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of a comprehensive range of legal services to support its statutory, operational, regulatory and commercial functions.<br/>The Framework will provide access to specialist legal expertise across four service lots and will support Scottish Water in delivering major capital investment programmes, operational activities, regulatory obligations, governance responsibilities and strategic corporate objectives. The Royal Sites of Ireland and the Historical Astronomical Observatories of Ireland incorporating Navan Fort and Armagh Observatory and Planetarium respectively, form part of two transnational, serial nominations for UNESCO World Heritage Status. Both components are located in or near Armagh City, Northern Ireland. The remaining five components of the Royal Sites series are located in Counties Meath, Westmeath, Roscommon, Kildare and Tipperary. The remaining two components of the Historical Astronomical Observatories are located at Dunsink, Fingal (North County Dublin) and in Birr, County Offaly. Both nomination groups have been included on the most recent Tentative List for Ireland. The pathway to World Heritage inscription consists of four stages: 1. Review and Preparation of the Tentative List 2. Preparation of the Preliminary Assessment and Nomination Dossier 3. Evaluation 4. Decision by the World Heritage Committee

Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a supplier for the improvement of the existing local play area at Hanslope Recreation Ground. The site is located at the play area within Hanslope Recreation Ground, Hanslope, Milton Keynes. The play area forms part of one of the district’s key green spaces and is well integrated within the wider recreational setting. The site is bordered to the north and northwest by residential properties, with Castlethorpe Road beyond, and to the east by residential properties adjacent to St James Close. To the south are the wider Hanslope Recreation Ground, community centre, outdoor gym, Hanslope cricket club and sports field, and the Hanslope Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). The project involves improvements to the existing local play area as part of the Council’s city-wide play area refurbishment programme. The proposed works include remedial landscaping, resurfacing, and upgrades to existing play equipment. The site will benefit from upgraded pedestrian routes and seating areas, enhancing safety and accessibility and supporting use by families and the wider community.

Market Engagement Event for Housing Related Support Service for Survivors of Domestic Abuse

DVLA invites tenders for the provision of International Driving Permit Services on a national (UK wide) basis. The service is currently outsourced; the current service provision with the incumbent supplier expires on the 31 March 2027. The requirements for the services that shall be provided by the successful Supplier include: • The ability for UK driving licence holders to transact in-person. • Widespread coverage across England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland. • The capability to issue approximately 270,000 permits per annum. • Provide service availability of 48 hours per week across all service locations, spread over 6 days to cater for a range of customers. The Contract will be for an initial term of 3 years and 4 months (see the Procurement Timetable in the Invitation to Tender for detail) which shall be comprised of: • a period of 4 months, or such other period as the Authority deems necessary, from the Effective Date for the delivery of an Implementation Plan (termed the “Mobilisation and Transition Period”), followed by • the period commencing from the end of the Mobilisation & Transition Period until the expiry of the contract term. No driving permits will be issued (and therefore no revenue generation) under this Contract during the Mobilisation and Transition Period. The fee for an International Driving Permit (IDP) is £5.50. This fee is set in legislation, and service provider must be able to deliver the IDP service based on retaining the full £5.50 fee paid by the customer; there will be no additional supplement to the fee by DVLA or the customer. This equates to a potential £4.5M of income for the service provider over the proposed contract term. DVLA’s position is that this procurement falls below the legislative threshold for a concession contract. Therefore, it is classified as a non-regulated procurement under the Procurement Act 2023, and the rules applicable to regulated concession contracts do not apply for this procurement. Although not mandated under PA23, DVLA is voluntarily publishing this notice to ensure transparency in our procurement process.

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council is undertaking preliminary market engagement to inform the future procurement of waste infrastructure modifications at its Silent Valley Waste Transfer Station. The Council is reviewing its existing waste management operations in preparation for forthcoming Welsh legislative requirements that will require local authorities to separately collect and process flexible plastics by April 2027. To support compliance and improve operational efficiency, the Council is considering alterations to its current baling arrangements and seeks input from suitably experienced suppliers and manufacturers. The proposed project includes: - Assessment of the existing Godswill baler installation. - Determination of the technical feasibility of converting the existing baler from a left-hand discharge configuration to a right-hand discharge arrangement. - Identification of any structural, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical or operational constraints associated with such modifications. - Provision of indicative capital, installation and commissioning costs. - Assessment of operational impacts including health and safety, maintenance and workflow considerations. - Identification of alternative solutions if modification of the existing equipment is not considered viable. - Recommendations for design improvements, operational enhancements and future-proofing measures to accommodate increasing waste segregation requirements, including flexible plastics processing. The Council is also exploring options for the supply and installation of an additional dedicated cardboard baler to increase processing capacity, reduce overtime requirements and improve operational efficiency. The intention is that the existing baler may be repurposed for flexible plastics and other waste streams while a separate baler is dedicated to cardboard processing.

The Council intends to establish a closed framework for the provision of care and support services at home across 12 neighbourhoods within the Liverpool region. The Council currently supports 2,700 residents across the region, commissioning c35,000 hours per week.

To provide mental health support to people in the Bradford district

Trafford Council is undertaking a soft market testing exercise in relation to its commissioned homeless supported accommodation for adults. The Council currently commissions short stay accommodation-based services for people aged 18 and above who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who require varying levels of housing related support to achieve and sustain independent living. Existing services accommodate individuals with low to medium support needs and typically provide accommodation for up to two years, with a strong emphasis on progression, independence and planned move on into longer term housing options. Access to services is managed through the Housing Options Service Trafford acting as a single point of access, ensuring referrals are assessed, prioritised and allocated appropriately across available provision.

DESNZ is seeking to procure a consortium to deliver a research programme to build the policy-relevant evidence base for decarbonisation of the industrial sector and carbon management. The research will be spread across four main work packages on: 1. Industrial Fuel switching including electrification and alternative fuels 2. Resource and energy efficiency in industry 3. Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage and engineered Greenhouse Gas Removals 4. Lifecycle Assessment methods and applications in industry Additional work packages will include a flexible fund to respond to emerging evidence needs, a data and stakeholder engagement work package underpinning the entire programme and additional stand-alone projects. The programme will focus on building the required evidence base, translating existing evidence alongside new analysis and data collection and modelling to support decision-making in industrial decarbonisation. Alongside this, a dissemination, knowledge transfer and policy translation role will be necessary to maximise impact of the research. The programme will require expertise on a number of industrial sectors, decarbonisation measures, technology sustainability and cost assessment, interactions with other sectors and supply chains and understanding of policy contexts. Methods to be employed will include literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative data collection, stakeholder engagement and interviews, modelling and analysis skills, project management and dissemination as well as policy analysis. We expect a consortium of suppliers to be the most likely optimal delivery body for this research due to the breadth of topics and skills. Outputs will likely include reports, data and models, decision support tools, case studies, teach-ins, and on-call briefings and scientific support. The research and outputs will be co-designed with policy stakeholders to ensure policy relevance and will have built-in flexibility to respond to emerging policy needs. DESNZ is holding a supplier event on MS Teams on 5th of February 12:30pm, consisting of a presentation by DESNZ. This will be designed to enable feedback from the potential suppliers as well as to catalyse consortium formation.

SCDC is letting a concessionary services contract to appoint a provider who can provide a live, invigilated secure online classroom style or an in-person classroom environment for the undertaking of the taxi driver competency and knowledge tests. The actual content for the competency tests will be provided by the Council.

The contract will provide for the supply and delivery of materials to support operational requirements across the Borough of Darlington. Delivery arrangements will comprise a combination of: Direct deliveries to multiple Council locations within the Borough; and Collections by the Council from the Contractor's premises, which must be located within a 5-mile radius of DL1 4QB. The contract will be structured into 10 distinct lots to promote flexibility, encourage supplier participation, and ensure the efficient provision of a wide range of materials. The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) is inviting expressions of interest for an upcoming tender for the provision of a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) System. As the fourth-largest Fire and Rescue Service in the UK, WYFRS serves over 2.2 million people across 800 square miles, providing emergency coverage 24 hours a day, every day of the year. WYFRS employees approx. 1500 staff. At this time, WYFRS is looking to inform the market of this opportunity and assess the market's interest and its appetite to bid for and deliver this upcoming contract. The contract term is envisaged to last a minimum of 3 years, with options to extend for +1 + 1 year periods, bringing the total duration to a maximum of 5 years total. The estimated costs for the CAFM requirements for the full contract term is expected to be between £200,000 and £250,000. Context: WYFRS is approaching the end of its current CAFM contract and is undertaking pre-market engagement to better understand the solutions, capabilities and innovations available within the market. The Authority is seeking a CAFM solution that is compatible with its existing ICT infrastructure and supports the operational requirements of the Property Team and wider organisation. The scope includes, but is not limited to, asset management, compliance monitoring, planned and reactive maintenance, workflow management and reporting. Through this engagement, WYFRS aims to understand how suppliers can support service delivery, improve operational efficiency and meet future organisational requirements.
