NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) All-Wales Laundry Service (AWLS), is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the replacement of the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and associated software controlling the Continuous Batch Washer (CBW) at Llansamlet Laundry Production Unit, Swansea. The facility processes approximately 35,000 linen items per day, with the CBW playing a critical role in maintaining operational capacity and service continuity. The successful contractor will be required to undertake a full survey and mapping of existing panel I/O and wiring configurations, supply and install a replacement PLC, provide compatible software interfaces, and ensure continued operation of the existing machine and control programmes. The project must also include full integration with associated press PLCs and sorting systems, commissioning of the completed installation, and comprehensive training for on-site personnel. All works must be completed outside normal production hours to ensure no disruption to laundry operations. The Authority requires the complete delivery, installation, commissioning, training, and acceptance of the works by 28 February 2027, with all associated invoicing completed by 31 March 2027. Contractors must demonstrate relevant technical capability and experience in industrial automation, PLC systems, and operationally critical production environments.
Broadacres wishes to appoint a single contractor to deliver drainage, jetting, external leak detection and repair and external fresh water supply maintenance services across its property portfolio. The intention is to enter into the Contract for a period of three (3) years with an option to extend for up to two (2) years up to a maximum duration of five (5) years. Background: Our ambition is that NE managed NNRs demonstrate and deliver the NE Strategy and the NNR Strategy and standards. We want to maximise the strength of each site, our collective skills and our resources; be clear on Natural England's role, and place greater emphasis on collaborative partnerships. We want an estate that is legally and contractually compliant, is safe and welcoming to our annual visitors aregistered volunteers and is also affordable and deliverable. This project will consider where Natural England will invest, including Grant in Aid, income and other sources of funding and where we might change our role. On-going estate management, including improvements and efficiencies, will be delivered whilst the review takes place. Provide a brief description of the service, e.g. estimated timescales and location. Include an overview of the information suppliers would need to decide whether they would be interested in an opportunity. Contract requirements: Workshops: There will be 12 workshops taking place across England to engage with staff working on NNRs in order to identify opportunities for change. These will be around 5 hours each, taking place in local offices or NNR sites. A facilitator is required to design and deliver these, maximising the collaboration and input to the session by attendees. The planned introduction of longer train services to the Airport in response to future demand growth will mean that double stacking arrangements of trains as currently used will no longer be viable. Through the project's Delivery Steering Group, Northern and TransPennine Express have carried out analysis which has identified that additional platform capacity is needed at the airport in order to realise the full benefit of longer train services serving the airport. The scheme is part of a package of proposed measures in the Manchester area that are being designed/planned to boost capacity and resilience, emanating from the Cross Manchester Capacity and Reliability Improvement Study. Improving the operation of train services in the centre of Manchester and providing further capacity at Manchester Airport station, aligns with the strategic aims of Network Rail, TfGM, TfN and the wider industry. This project in in Tranche 1 of the Manchester and North West Transformation Programme (MNTP): A remodelling of the station at Manchester Airport, specifically a platform addition or extension of multiple platforms, or provision of a new turnback facility, will be essential to accommodate the planned implementation of longer rolling stock services. The redevelopment of these platforms will enable permissive working of two 6x24m (144m) trains, in two of the four platforms at the Airport Station. This will allow for the unaltered retention of all existing TOC services both originating and terminating at the Airport Station under 'double-stacking' conditions. Kent County Council, as part of the Kent and Medway Resilience Forum (KMRF), currently provide on road, Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) resource, to assist KMRF partners with managing disruption on the Kent Road network when there are delays at the Kent ports. As part of KMRF’s continued work to manage border disruption in Kent, Kent County Council are seeking to appoint a Supplier to provide CSAS accredited operatives, to assist other partners (Kent Police and National Highways) in managing and directing traffic as set out in the KMRF Operation Fennel Plan. This includes operatives within the Operation Brock footprint on the M20 and also in and around as part of the Dover Traffic Management Plan. With the introduction and embedding of enhanced border checks as part of the European Entry Exit System (EES) possibly leading to increased and more prolonged periods of disruption, the Council, on behalf of KMRF, may also require Police accredited CSAS operatives holding other CSAS accreditations (Security Industry Authority (SIA)) to manage traffic and safety in designated sites off of the public highway. The purpose of the UK Electrification Skills Framework (UKESF) is to establish a coordinated, evidence-based mechanism for identifying, analysing and communicating current and future skills requirements across the UK's electrification sectors. The framework will support the Battery Innovation Programme's (BIP) objective of strengthening workforce capability by improving alignment between industry demand, skills provision, policy development and investment decisions. UKESF will act as a national convening and intelligence function, bringing together stakeholders from industry, academia, training providers, professional bodies and government. Through structured engagement, data gathering and analysis, the framework will provide the evidence required to support workforce planning, investment decisions and the development of a sustainable electrification skills ecosystem across the UK. To deliver these outcomes, UKRI intends to appoint a single organisation or consortium to establish, administer and manage the UK Electrification Skills Framework, including its governance arrangements, stakeholder engagement activities, evidence-gathering processes, analytical capability and reporting functions.
The overall objectives of the Cosy Homes in Lancashire Scheme are to: Improve the energy efficiency, thermal comfort and over-heating of Lancashire homes. Address health inequalities exacerbated by living in cold damp homes and help tackle excess winter deaths. Reduce energy bills and maximise household income Engage with Private Rented Sector Landlords to improve the energy efficiency of homes for tenants. Reduce carbon emissions from the domestic sector. To support the take up of low carbon and renewable energy technologies in the domestic sector. To attract as much funding as possible to Lancashire. Build a network of trusted local installers, suppliers and manufacturers. Provide a fully comprehensive energy efficiency advice service to Lancashire residents and sign-post to external agencies where applicable. Promote retrofit advice, surveys and co-ordination for relevant schemes including the 'Willing to Pay' sector and where necessary provide quotes to that sector. The cost of providing this Service will be met by any fees generated from funding agreements and any management fees included within funding secured. It is however important there is cost transparency, Open Book Management is detail within the Terms and Conditions. Bidders are advised that funding is currently secured only until 31 March 2028. No commitment or guarantee is given regarding the availability of funding from 1 April 2028 onwards.
