Last updated: 18 September 2026. These terms govern use of CouncilIQ (counciliq.co.uk), including Bid Buddy. Operator legal entity details marked “to confirm” should be completed before paid checkout goes live.
By accessing or using CouncilIQ you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
CouncilIQ provides tools to explore UK public-sector information, including tenders sourced from official feeds (Find a Tender and Contracts Finder), planning constraint lookups, council profiles, and optional AI-assisted features such as Bid Buddy and Ask AI.
Features, coverage and data freshness may change. Some modules (including spending/contracts explorers) may be unavailable, labelled as coming soon, or based on incomplete sources — do not treat them as verified unless we clearly say so.
You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, scrape aggressively, or breach these terms.
Free access may be limited. Paid plans (Community, Pro, Council, Enterprise) and any money-back or annual-billing offers apply only when checkout is live and stated on the pricing page at purchase time. While billing is paused, paid CTAs may be unavailable.
When payments resume, charges may be processed by a third-party provider or merchant of record. Taxes and invoicing follow that provider’s terms where applicable.
Public procurement and planning data can be incomplete, delayed or wrong in source systems. CouncilIQ is not a contracting authority, bid advisor, solicitor or guarantor of award outcomes.
Bid Buddy and Ask AI generate drafts that may contain errors. You must review, edit and take responsibility for anything you submit in a tender or other formal process.
CouncilIQ software, branding and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Public government data remains subject to its own licences and attribution requirements. Your uploaded drafts remain yours; you grant us a licence to process them to provide the service.
We aim for reasonable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, upstream outages or force majeure may affect access.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CouncilIQ is provided “as is”. We exclude liability for lost profits, lost bids, indirect or consequential loss, and reliance on AI drafts or third-party datasets. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited under English law.
Our aggregate liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for that period (or £50 if you are on a free plan).
You may stop using the service anytime. We may suspend or end access for breach or risk to the platform. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
