Energy Saving Trust is seeking the support of a energy access cooling expert to support the delivery of the LEIA programme. The successful candidate will work as an in-house consultant, embedded within the Energy Saving Trust International team. These works were originally part of a larger project encompassing repairs and decorations to all windows at the Woodgreen Offices. Due to budgetary constraints works have now been limited to a single elevation of original timber windows which have been found to be in the worst condition. Works will involve access as required to carry out repairs to the windows using the Repaircare resin repair system, overhaul of the sash mechanisms and replacement parts where required and decoration of the windows. In addition, the works allow for the repair and decoration of the timber roof detailing and rainwater goods to this elevation and the ease and adjustment and survey of all other windows to the building. This project outlines the proposed works for the removal and replacement of the existing asbestos slate roof covering to the Mansard elevations at Shire House, Bodmin. This work also requires the installation of a permanent edge and skylight protection system. The existing asbestos roofing presents both a health risk and a maintenance liability. RAICo has a requirement to develop and test a solution to decontaminate remotely operated vehicles (ROV) operating in nuclear storage ponds. The decontamination process is required to be performed whilst the ROV is submerged within the pond, and the decontamination process must be performed by remote operation. The objective of the decontamination process is to reduce contamination levels to within the permitted threshold required to bring the ROV out of the pond to perform both preventative and essential maintenance operations. National Highways (NH) is a government owned organisation responsible for operating,, maintaining and improving the Strategic Road Network (SRN) in England. NH is undertaking exploratory research into innovative approaches for pavement compliance testing on the SRN. This work aligns with the Home Safe & Well vision that no one should be harmed while travelling or working on the SRN. Pavement compliance testing is essential to ensure customer safety and the quality of highway renewal works. It is currently estimated that compliance testing activities account for approximately 98,500 work hours on the SRN each year. At present, much of this testing is carried out at night by operatives working adjacent to live traffic, exposing them to significant risks including vehicle incursions and people–plant interface hazards. There is an urgent need to explore and accelerate the adoption of automated compliance tests (ACT) that can remove operatives from high-risk live traffic environments. Early research indicates that such technologies have the potential not only to significantly improve workforce safety, but also to enhance pavement quality, deliver smoother roads, and improve the overall customer experience.

National Highways is a government owned organisation responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network National Highways seeks to undertake exploratory research into the Magnetic Main Flux Method (MMFM), an advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) technique used to detect internal corrosion, wire breaks, and deterioration in bridge cable systems. This research will investigate the method’s suitability, performance, and adaptability for the United Kingdom’s bridge stock, particularly within aging suspension, cable-stayed, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete structures. There are claims that MMFM could demonstrate effectiveness under various protective layers—including cement grout, galvanisation, coatings, High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sheathing, and wax—while providing quantitative assessment of corrosion and residual cable capacity. This exploratory work aims to understand if these claims for MMFM can be technically validated, and adaption for deployment under UK environmental and operational conditions could be considered. Cefas require processing of 33 macrofaunal samples by extracting and identifying all biota retained on a 1.0 mm capture mesh, in accordance with the extraction and identification protocols set out in the NMBAQC guidelines. The Falmouth dredged material disposal site is located south of Falmouth, Cornwall, just outside the entrance to Falmouth Bay. As part of a monitoring programme funded by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), sediment samples were collected from within and around the site in July 2026 during a survey aboard the RV Cefas Endeavour. A 0.1 m² mini Hamon grab was used to collect 33 samples, comprising three replicates from each of 11 stations. Sample details are provided in Appendix 1. Shortly after collection, the samples were preserved in approximately 5% buffered formaldehyde. Each container has internal and external labels clearly identifying the survey and station information. The Supplier will process 33 macrofaunal samples by extracting and identifying all biota retained on a 1.0 mm capture mesh, in accordance with the extraction and identification protocols set out in the NMBAQC guidelines (NMBAQC scheme - APEM). The resulting data must also be audited in accordance with the NMBAQC Own Samples protocol before being submitted to Cefas. Enumeration, identification and biomassing must be carried out to the lowest possible taxonomic level in accordance with the NMBAQC Processing Requirement Protocol and Taxonomic Discrimination Protocol (NMBAQC scheme - APEM). Wet-weight biomass, recorded in grams to at least four decimal places, is required for all enumerable taxa. Balances must be serviced annually, and a valid service certificate must be supplied with the tender. A single reference collection containing all identified species/taxa must be returned to the Cefas laboratories in Lowestoft in an appropriate preservation liquid, such as 100% IDA or a mixture of 70% IMS, 20% water and 10% glycerol. As a minimum, the reference collection must record the species name, identifier/supervisor name, station code, cruise code, collection date and species identification verifier name. An electronic list of all taxa included in the reference collection, containing the same details, must also be provided. Notable taxa, including non-native species and new or unusual records, must be highlighted in this list. Records of non-native species must be added to the Non-native Species Information Portal (NNSIP), hosted on the Non-native Species Secretariat website GB Non Native Species Information Portal (GBNNSIP) - providing records and alerts for non-native species in Great Britain | InfraPortal. Following completion of the work, the abundance and biomass data matrices must be submitted by email to an address that Cefas will confirm during contract implementation. All species names must first be checked using the WoRMS ‘Match Taxa’ tool to ensure that the nomenclature is current (http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=match). Quality assurance: Three samples from this contract are to be subject to an independent QA process following the requirements of the NMBAQC ‘own sample’ scheme assessment criteria with the scheme coordinator (or their assigned AQC lab) (see above). As this is also a project level audit the full data set will be quality assured; in addition to the samples selected to assess processing, additional taxa will be identified for review from the full data matrix. Any remedial action required following the AQC process must be completed within an agreed timeframe at no extra cost to the project, including any subsequent AQC needed. The AQC contract will be arranged and paid for by Cefas. The processing and audit laboratories will include Cefas in all communications relating to this contract and will work to ensure timely delivery. Deliverables: 1.
