What is a UK6 contract award notice?

CouncilIQ·

In one sentence

A UK6 contract award notice tells the market that a buyer has decided to award a contract: who won, and usually the value and dates.

Why it matters for SMEs

Award notices are how you learn:
  • who actually wins with a given buyer and type of work;
  • typical values, and whether SMEs appear on the list;
  • when a contract is due to end, so you can prepare for the re-tender.
CouncilIQ builds supplier pages, buyer SME scorecards and "who won" panels only from award notices like these.

UK6 in the notice sequence

A typical competitive path: pipeline and engagement (UK1 to UK3), then the UK4 tender, evaluation, the UK6 award, and the UK7 contract details. A direct award usually has a UK5 transparency notice first, then award details.
